:In this new series, we are going to create creative portraits with some different simple kinds of backdrops. These are made of thin, transparent material and are available in various colours (shop).
In this photoshoot, the focus is more on creativity than on the technique. I was inspired by a fabric that I had found and started experimenting with it. I used a fan to bring some movement in the fabric, which gives a cool effect.

Setup
For my main light, I use our new Link800 flash with a Silver 24" Octa foldable softbox with a grid. The grid allows for better control of the light distribution and adds contrast and drama to the image. For my background light, I use this together with a standard reflector, grid and colour Domes.
Behind the scenes
Get started with different fabrics and colour gels, get inspired and learn the process and set up in this tutorial.
